big swing, no ding

Informal cricketing term used when a batsman takes a giant slog at a ball but completely misses. Equivalent to "swing and a miss" in baseball. Usually used as a sledge at under-12s cricket matches.

"Is he gonna whack this one for six? No, he's been bowled! Big swing, no ding!"

Ding-bong-ditch

Similar to the ding-dong-ditch, but much more risky. Participants take a bong rip on their target's doorstep before ringing the doorbell and fleeing. Unfortunate (or fortunate) targets open their doors to a thick cloud of the ganja smoke.

Someone who is only interested in hooking up with someone and then not talking to them again. Similar to how children will ding dong ditch at house doors.

Old Man Ding

Old Man Ding is a paper-and-pencil game that has been widely circulated in mainland China since the 1980s. According to the jingle, the player draws an image of an old man by combining characters and graphics (including 丁”、“⚪”、“三”、“四”, etc.). There are various versions of the jingle due to different regions, and the first sentence of the game is mostly named after the nose drawn by "an old man Ding".
