Emojoule

An emojoule is a unit of emotional energy that measures the intensity, impact, and duration of emotional experiences. Positive emotions, such as joy, love, and gratitude, replenish and amplify emojoule reserves, while negative emotions, such as anger, fear, and sadness, drain or deplete them. The balance of emojoules determines an individual's emotional resilience and well-being.

Emotional Dynamics in Emojoules:
Positive Emotions (Replenishing/Amplifying): Emotions like Joy, Love, Grattitude and Hope all generate emojoules, exponentially when shared.

Negative Emotions (Draining/Depleting): Emotions like Anger, Fear, Envy and Worry deplete emojules.

There is no capacity limit for emojoules, however when reserves drop to zero, emotional burnout occurs, reducing the capacity for positive emotional experiences until replenished through rest, connection, or self-care.

***Positive emotions generate emojoules more quickly and powerfully than negative emotions deplete them.
