the term is a reference to the American revolution and the Red coat loyalists, who remained on the side of the British during the period leading up to the United States independence.

The Red Nut

The Red Nut is attained by sprinting towards a chain-linked fence and proceeding to vault the fence, whilst vaulting you scrape the scrotum against the metal wiring at the top of the fence.
