The Penguins made it to the Stanley Cup final due to the trade, the Penguins failed to gain a victory over the 2007-2008 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings.
For the 2008-2009 NHL Hockey season Hossa decided to pass up a $50 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins to sign for a $7.5 million one year contract with the Detroit Red Wings.
Final Result: The Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, and Marian Hossa all ended up in the Stanley Cup Finals in a rematch, but Hossa was on the other side. The Penguins won and Hossa LOST AGAIN!!!!
RATIONALE: THIS IS THE ONLY ACT IN ALL OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS THAT IS MORE THAN AN EPIC FAIL. HE LEFT THE WINNING TEAM, THAT OFFERED HIM MORE MONEY!!!!
