A horribly botched version of “one size fits all,” usually said by someone trying to sound confident while absolutely not knowing what they’re talking about.

Usage:
Describes anything that is claimed to work for everyone but clearly doesn’t — from T-shirts to tech solutions to your coworker’s “universal” Excel macro that crashes on every PC except his.

“The IT guy said his script works for every machine… a real ‘one fits size all’ solution. It bricked half the office.”

Verb

any object small enough to easily get lost between crevices and swiped by fairies only to be found in wildly unrelated locations. Examples given: 10mm socket, PC case screws, coins, batteries, marbles, etc.
