Get the For sure dawg, I'm cereal! mug.The act of pouring out some your alcoholic beverage for the gods. Used during the Classical period of Rome and Greece. Its basis is in the fact that there is a certain amount of alcohol you were going to drink in the given night, and you are sharing it with gods because you are not selfish.
A guy approaches another guy in a bar. "For the gods?", and as they each pour some of their drinks out, they other replies "For the Gods".

Get the for the gods mug.The absolute driest way to respond to something you need to agree with but don’t want to or care to. Basically the antonym of its literal meaning. Polite but ironic.

Get the For sure mug.A reintepration of the earlier phrase "for all intents and purposes", the phrase means "virtually" or "for all practical purposes".
For all intensive purposes the phrase "for all intensive purposes" is identical to "for all intents and purposes", and anyone who continues to make the distinction is a soulless pedant.
