An educator who creates beautiful or elegant math, by mixing and matching ideas from different disciplines to vow their audience—they are neither generalist or specialist, who use creative ways to convey difficult math concepts, or are bewitched to come up with intuitive or elegant solutions to math problems.

If math teachers, editors, and writers thought like a math DJ, the public perception of math being a dull or difficult school subject would be a thing of the past.

Florida Math

Also known as “Anti-Woke Math.” Math curriculums, textbooks, and resources that include materials that whitewash any centuries-long contributions from nonwhite and LGBT mathematicians and math educators worldwide; or contents that exclude any elements of critical race theory, social-emotional learning, journal writing, ethnomathematics, and other MAGA dislikes.

In 2022, the Department of Education rejected more than 40% of math textbooks publishers submitted, because they fell short of the “high” standards set up by Florida math curriculum censors, who work closely with puritan parents and “anti-woke” lawmakers.

When math educators could tap on the rich made-in-China app’s potential, which is popular among millennials and creatives worldwide, to depict the lighter or irreverent side of math and math education, by sending the subtle or sexy message that math needn’t be a four-letter “four-letter” word.

If teachers and tutors were to leverage on TikTok Math possibilities or prospects to help raise the quantitative literacy of millions of math-anxious students, billions of dollars could be saved by many Ministries of Education worldwide every year.
