Fadgot

The "d" in fadgot is silent and it is pronounced "fagot".

A person who partakes in trendy fads such as planking, ice bucket challenges, neck nominations etc. Fadgots seek attention and validation by jumping onto the flavour of the month bandwagon, usually involving filming themselves performing an unoriginal and idiotic activity and then posting the footage on social media.

Someone who is a fadgot is said to be so because they've "got fad".

Faggot

A derogatory term for a homosexual person, usually a gay man but it can be used for lesbian women as well. It originated as a British slang term for cigarette, becoming a slur when gay men were rolled into carpets and burned alive like giant cigarettes. Case and point, it should not be used if you are not a gay guy or a lesbian woman. It's essentially the N-word but for gay people.

Person 1: Woah, check out that faggot over there.

Person 2: What the hell, man? That's not cool.
