A smell you can't really put your finger on, it's quite disgusting but seems familiar. Almost makes you wanna get another whiff.

curfl

Also shortened to curf; a curfl is a courtesy flush. Example: in a public restroom, if you have diarrhea or any other unexpectedly long or particularly smelly poop it is polite to flush every few minutes or as needed as a courtesy to others using the restroom. This practice cuts down on bad smells in public restrooms.

I don’t like public restrooms but when I must use them I always curfl. I wish more people did.
