Alexander

Latinized form of the Greek name Αλεξανδρος (Alexandros), which meant "defending men" from Greek αλεξω (alexo) "to defend, help" and ανηρ (aner) "man" (genitive ανδρος). In Greek mythology this was another name of the hero Paris, and it also belongs to several characters in the New Testament. However, the most famous bearer was Alexander the Great, King of Macedon. In the 4th century BC he built a huge empire out of Greece, Egypt, Persia, and parts of India. Due to his fame, and later medieval tales involving him, use of his name spread throughout Europe.

The name has been used by kings of Scotland, Poland and Yugoslavia, emperors of Russia, and eight popes. Other notable bearers include English poet Alexander Pope (1688-1744), American statesman Alexander Hamilton (1755-1804), Scottish-Canadian explorer Sir Alexander MacKenzie (1764-1820), Russian poet Alexander Pushkin (1799-1837), and Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922), the Scottish-Canadian-American inventor of the telephone.

Alex

On the outside they can be kind and friendly, but on the inside they are sad and lonely. Likely to be depressed.

Alex could possibly be going through some troubled times in their life and just wants to get out of it.

They can be a great friend who will support you through anything but if you get on their bad side you’re in for it!

Possibly part of the LBGTQ+ community.

Is someone who is the most beautiful girl u would meet...shes amazin to be around....mad funny and usually extermely hyper...but thats why everyone loves alexa...she has an amazing personality..and its one of a kind u won't be able to find someone with the same or even close to her personality...she's sometimes acts dumb but is actusally really smart...she goes around using an indian actccent....it only bothers some....not most...who ever ends up with her will be the luckiest person on earth and should treat he awesome...i love her..shes soo amazing

The sweetest person you will ever meet. He is so amazing. He's fun to talk to and he'll always leave you with a smile on your face. Usually very funny and he'll always make you happy even when you're really sad. He may not seem like a complex person at first, but believe me, he is!

Alexander'd

Doing the best job in a group, or organization, and then failing miserably next time; like Shaun Alexander, running back of the Seattle Seahawks.

Shaun Alexander was the league rusher, and held the record for 28 rushing TD's. He then got injured, and Alexander'd himself the next year.

Alex Chilton

A highly unknown pop music genius who recorded a single ("The Letter") with the Box Tops and made three great albums with a band called Big Star before slipping even further into obscurity. During the 80s' and 90s' he created some ultimately so-so albums. He died on March 17, 2010 from heart problems.
