Green Room

Although other definitions refer solely to the physical room, a "green room" may refer to a "saying-goodbye" event popular in the theater programs of certain high schools. During a "green room," the members of the cast and crew who are graduating seniors are spoken about (often individually) by underclassmen, in front of everyone else. These speeches often incorporate how missed the senior will be, what an impact the senior had, and an important story about the senior. It is often a heavily emotionally-charged event, with an understandablly-large amount of tearing up, straight bawling, and laughter.

Nick: Jeremy sounded so heartfelt when he spoke at Anthony's green room after the show last Spring.

Tom: It was really good. Remember John's green room last year? That was pretty hilarious: me, you, and Joe remembered all the great times we shared with John.

Room Up

Also in short text "r^" is a term used in the video game SOCOM to notify other players that the room/server they were waiting on is now up and ready to join. Usually said when organizing a clan battle to make a designated private room with a password.

"Hey guys, Room Up! Hurry and join so we can start the game A.S.A.P."

When I played that audacious record by Merzbow it really did clear the room. It was real room-clearing music.

Green room

A spot in the woods where you can smoke weed in peace.

A play on the common understanding of a green room, this term is most often used when skiing/snowboarding/hiking to discretely indicate wanting to smoke pot.

"Hey, let's get off the slopes and find a green room."

"Let's go to the green room."

"Green room?"

Patriot room

Where all the various denizens of the Patriot live when they're not busy serving as minions of Satan. Most of the time is spent looking at vulgar sites on the Internet (including this one), trying to convince certain women that colors DO in fact exist (dammit they do), arguing with each other, conspiring against each other, unloading their sick personal problems on the few male writers that still haven't fled in abject terror (talking about PMS - GROSS) and occasionally doing work when the Patriot members aren't too busy fucking around (on the table, that is).

The Patriot room kicks ass when we aren't busy watching the Nick Berg video over and over again, and making the whole room listen to our sick stories of how we got date-raped by our 30-year-old boyfriends.
