Pitchers Poison

A term used when playing wiffle ball and the are not enough players to fill all positions. The first baseman is pulled to play another position. If a ball is hit and then thrown to the pitcher before the batter gets to first base it is an out and called pitchers poison!

russbusby hit the ball hard to the shortstop, but was called out as the ball was thrown to the pitcher on the mound before russbusby got to first base utilizing the pitchers poison rule.

A Houston man earned a succinct lesson in gun safety when he played Russian roulette with a .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol. He apparantly did not realize that a semiautomatic pistol, unlike a revolver, actually inserts a cartridge into the firing chamber when the gun is cocked.
