Jungle Dark

A term used by white men to describe attractive black women who are darker skinned. Almost code-like, so black males won't pick up on a bunch of crackers checkin' out their sistas.

Jungle Jim

This was a newspaper comic strip that first appeared in the 1930s. Later it became a radio program, a series of movies, and eventually a TV show that lasted only a single season. The movies and the TV show both starred Johnny Weissmuller (who also played Tarzan in several moves during that same period of time). Jungle Jim was a hunter, not a "noble savage" like Tarzan.

I remember visiting my cousins in Los Angeles in 1956 and watching Jungle Jim on television.
