Walao

“Walao” and its variations are popularly used when someone is surprised, shocked in disbelief. This would be the Malaysian & Singaporean replacement of “Oh my gosh!”. Malaysians typically use it when there are mega sales, cheap flight and hotel discounts on sale, whenever they get together at the mamak watching football, and so on. It’s also typically used to compliment one’s skills, talents or achievements - or if your friend does something stupid!

There are also other names you can use with "Walao", such as "Walao eh", "Walao wei", etc.

John (Driver): *Ignores traffic light and just drive through because he's in a rush*

This man is dangerous... He does nefarious things to people he calls "friends" and cannot be left alone with them without supervision, for the friend's sake. He touches people in their genitals and commonly explores the rectums of his male friends with his fingers. One time his teacher even walked into him trying to mate with his best friend- missionary style. Safe to say that teacher never looked at him the same... He also says questionable things about other people in younger year groups that disgusts those around him. He is a bad influence, often convincing his friends to skip revision in order to play Rust wipes. At the end of the day he is a good reliable friend and is a fun person to be around - when he isn't brainrot.
