(Adj) demonstrating traditional values; in some cases with an accompanying traditional image that's physiognomy is communicative of said traditional values. Generally used in reference to Western Christian values and associated with being "based" and offending "progressive" minded folk.

Rad Trad

A short form of the term Radical Traditionalist. A 'Rad Trad' is a Catholic who adheres to pre-1960's traditions, especially the Latin Mass in favour of the Novus Ordo (post-Vatican II mass). They're basically hardcore for all things pre-Vatican II and they reject aspects of modern Catholicism. Most would consider themselves in union with the Catholic Church, though.

Trad-Cow Disease

When a man who values all of the traditional values, but has poor self image or no ability to properly talk to the opposite sex, he will settle for a morbidly obese girl who LARPS as trad. This is mostly found in traditional religious circles, or amongst the cottage-core enthusiasts.

Trad wife

A woman who lives a traditional lifestyle in which the man or husband is the provider and protector, and the woman or wife is responsible for maintaining the household, and raising their children.

Sometimes used as a slur for a woman who is anti-feminist, or does not ascribe to the "boss babe" mentality.
