A term coined on the social media platform Discord used to describe the act of using the 'ping' function (which pushes a notification to the targeted user) for an otherwise trivial matter. Typically more commonly termed in development-centric Discords where administrators or high-ranking developers are pinged for, well, dumb shit.

Origin:

Coined by a creative genius sick of watching YouTube get ruined by garbage-tier AI stories and inside-out 3D messes.
It combines “showcasing” with, well… you get it.
