wax poetic

(verb)
1. to make a phrase or text longer by making it more poetic (hence the name) and verbose.
2. to mention something in a roundabout way, so the real word doesn't have to be said (this could happen for a variety of reasons e.g. socially unacceptable language).
(Example 1.) "I'm not a fan of this kinda food." if you wax poetic, it becomes "I do dislike this taste of cuisine, indeed."

(Example 2.) "Wanna fuck?" becomes "Would you like to come over to my place and hang?"

poetic pause

When you finish a book that's really good and you need a few days to get over it.
I just finished this novel. Made me cry. I'm taking a poetic pause to try and take it all in.

Poetic Justice

After months of knowingly downplaying COVID-19 and misleading the public as well as engaging in conspiracy theories in relation to the virus and continually mocking individuals, corporations and institutions that were trying to take the situation seriously, Donald Trump contracted said virus.
I always said that one of the greatest cases of poetic justice would be if Donald Trump ended up catching COVID after intentionally creating problems and making wildly inaccurate statements in regards to the virus.

Wax poetic

To wax poetic is the act of shitting on the baseboard heater and turning the thermostat up on the day you vacate your apartment.
"Hey bra, ya movin' out today?"
"Yah man, the soup is being a total dick and keeping my deposit, so I'm gonna have to wax poetic."

I am writing for the greater good of humanity and the written word. It is Poetic, Rhythmic, Real, Thoughtful, and maybe just plain ol' interesting. How is this not already written. Call it urban, call it random, Everybody walks with some poetism in their shoes.
Poetism is Like : ""I will not Apologize" The Roots. Cause for me, my cat is Wackie... plurally Waka Flaka Flame. But"When the World Ends" Dave Matthews Band. I wanna know "What'z Ya Phone No." 2Pac." I am just a person who found writing and how fun it can be to connect with people physically, but why not put it out on the internet to connect mentally. Call it cray, call it what you may. I wrote this just to make an example of what you might be able to say. This is just "Beta Wax" Daft Punk. followed by a "Sound Check" by them Gorillaz." Gotta Put the word Poetism in the example so I might as well make a sample. I am a poet, and I don't know it, but my feet show it." eLBe
