Ethical Monogamy

Ethical monogamy is the practice of having only one relationship at a time that is carried out in an honest, authentic, genuine, caring and respectful manner.
In contrast to 'ethical non-monogamy' (and perhaps 'irresponsible monogamy'), people are emotionally and sexually involved with only one person at a time and have a strong sense of responsibility for how they impact one another's lives.

Ensuring both individuals are in a state where they feel fully informed about the others current feelings and status of their relationship is an important aspect of ethical monogamy. Regular check-in's and conversations are used to help both partners feel secure and healthy in their relationship.

This term has risen out of an era of disconnected, detached and damaging dating and relationship formats. If a relationship were to turn into an 'unethical state' or damaging place for either party, there is no longer an expectation that the relationship should continue in any way, shape or form.

The Hacker Ethic

Hacker code of morality that was originally formed by the MIT hackers in the late 1950s to the late 1960s and articulated by Steven Levy in his book HACKERS: HEROES OF THE COMPUTER REVOLUTION. The creed is as follows:

1)Always yield the Hands-On Imperative! Access to computers-- and andything else which might teach you about the way the world works-- should be unlimited and total.
2) All information should be free.
3) Mistrust Authority-- Promote Decentralization.
4) Hackers should be judged by their hacking, not bogus criteria such as degrees, age, race, or position.
5) You can create art and beauty on a computer.
6) Computers can change your life for the better.
While many of the 1960s hackers claim that modern hackers have rejected this code, it has actually strongly influenced all hackers for the last thirty years.

ethically dissimilar

A stupid argument cited by liberals in order to deny liberal media bias.
When the media harps on Mitt Romney's dog but fails to report on Barack Obama's brother, this is not media bias because these two things are ethically dissimilar.

When the media talks about George W. Bush mispronouncing words but ignores Barack Obama saying there are 57 states, this is not media bias because these two things are ethically dissimilar.

ethically

doing something in an ethical way.

doing something in a way that does not bring harm to others.

Not lying, cheating, stealing, hurting, defrauding, tricking, or putting down others.

People who have good character usually are ethical.

the hacker ethic

All hackers have the good ethic and respect for machines that do not belong to them. If you do not have this ethic than you are not a hacker you are a cracker.
Hackers only seek information, and knowledge. Using this for good and to advance their abilities.

Sup Lit Ethnics

The most perfect phrase to compliment awesome multi-diverse random strangers as you enter their presence if you appreciate them, and all celebrate a similar culture as an estranged family that meets randomly all the time.
*Pete walks into a room at an annual tech convention party with arms stretched out*
Pete: "Sup Lit Ethnics!"
Martin: "PETE! Sup you lit mofo! Get over here and check out my new phone that I have been showing Sally, Jesse, and Raphael! Do you remember them? Sally and Jesse were here two years ago, and Raphael was here last year."
Pete: "Aww shiz, your phone is on fleek, and of course I remember them!"
