cheerleader

A hard worker who can be of any race, ethnicity, religious background, gender, or the like. These people are far too stereotyped and put down so often it makes me sick. They are NOT all slutty girls — otherwise they wouldn’t be people, because all people are different. They DO NOT just jump around and wave pom-poms; they do extremely difficult and dangerous routines that have led to injury on more than one occasion. They practice for hours on end, and even when they’re all in sync and their cheer seems perfected, they keep going, because that’s just how hard they work.

Not all cheerleaders are female, either! When I get to high school, I’m actually going to try out; I’m trans male, too. And don’t call me out for not being a real man because I want to cheer — guys are often the powerhouse of the cheer squad, and are vital in many routines. I’m not saying girls can’t be strong; in fact, they can be much stronger than guys! But male cheerleaders are a very big part of some cheer squads, so don’t think they’re gay or whatever. (Some male cheerleaders are gay! And that’s perfectly fine.)

Cheerleading is a sport, in my opinion — my biggest reason for believing this is because gymnastics and dancing are the main make-up of it, which are both sports. A sport isn’t always about competing, either! Sideline cheerleading is one hundred percent a sport.

Anyways, that’s my opinion, and I will stand by it for as long as I live.
“That guy is such an amazing cheerleader!”
I know, right? He makes the cheerleading pyramid look so easy!”

“Those cheerleaders are total sluts.”
“What they are is hard workers, so leave them alone.”

cheerleader

A person who is on a squad who cheers a team on. Usually associated with football or basketball.

Those associated with cheerleading will lead you to believe it's a sport, and although it gets time on ESPN (for what reason I have no idea) it's about as much as sport as bowling is, which also gets time on ESPN....go figure. At least I'll watch bowling on TV.

The squads are generally populated with:

1. Vapid, airheaded girls who seem to be catty with each other, and VERY eager to be with the jocks. The rules state that the quarterback gets first choice.

2. Guys who either tried out for the actual squad and got cut, or were just plain afraid of contact. Or gay. Either one.
I'm on the football team, so I get first dibs on the cheerleaders. That's if the quarterback doesn't sleep with all of 'em first.

There's a cheerleading competition on ESPN, but it's opposite two football games and 3 baseball games. With all that on, who's gonna watch it??

When they start handing out medals for bowling and bass fishing, I'll call cheerleading a sport.

cheerleader

-athlete who can jump, kick, toss, catch, yell, tumble, and fly
-smart, well-rounded, healthy, fit
-confidence, friendliness, charisma

People who talk bad about cheerleaders, are typically jealous. They probably haven't talked to one, but have only seen how movies try to portray us.
A cheerleader has to stay in a healthy shape in order to stay strong. She/he has to have good grades, so they won't get benched. They have to have confidence and coordination.
