A Windows OS released on September 14, 2000.
During it's first months, there wasn't as much hate against it, but then people started to hate on it.
Why? because it was unstable and buggy, and most importantly, rushed.
It's Devs rushed it because they wanted Windows 98 users to have new features while waiting for Windows XP, which released later on October 25, 2001, with XP receiving much praise.
It ended support on July 11, 2006.
at least be slightly grateful of it because it gave us Windows Movie Player, and it walked like great-grandma, but so Windows XP could run like the flash.

Get the Windows Me mug.See Windows Vista.
Microsoft promised Windows Vista would be better. In the end it turned out to be not only worse, but infested with all kinds of things that track and monitor everything you do on your computer, even when you're offline. By the way, if you want to disable them you can't. Many have (appropriately) nicknamed it Windows ME 2.

When looking for a new OS a friend of mine suggested Windows Vista. But I decided I didn't want Microsoft breathing down my neck and I didn't want an OS that's about as stable as a poorly made block of C-4 in the passenger seat of a Ford truck driving on the bumpiest road in the world. So I got Linux instead. If you really want Windows, go with Windows XP, as it's the only stable version of Windows. Just don't get Windows ME 2.

Get the Windows ME 2 mug.Windows Media Connect itself is one of the most horribly engineered programs in existence today. It is imposible to get it to run correctly even if you follow the instructions TO THE LETTER. If by some act of God you have gotten this program to work flawlessly, you must be burned at the stake for being a Witch.
omg ALL i wanted was to SHARE my MEDIA!!

Get the Windows Media Connect mug.the worst, most backwards media player ever compiled. Plays limited number of music formats (mainly used for windows shitty windows media files), uses an excessive amount of memory, has no good plug-ins, all plug-ins have to be bought and cost way the hell to much, and it can't even rip cd's to mp3 and doesn't even support mp4's like all its competitors (winamp, iTines, quicktime and real player). Basically another tool for microsoft to control most of the market share of everything. If you use windows media player, do yourself a favor and kill yourself or download winamp.

Get the Windows Media Player mug.by Bryan February 13, 2005
Get the Windows Media Player mug.A very bad media player in comparison to others like winamp. Has the tendancy to miss the first two seconds of an audio file. It has a very complicated layout and large window size making a simple task like playing an audio file a chore. Ripping music is almost pointless due to this. on the plus side WMP opens faster than its competitors allowing you to play a file almost instantainiously. WMP also suffers from its horrid lack of plug-ins and the windows web sites don't even supply them for download.
