noun and verb: A photograph taken with a camera phone or to take a photograph with a camera phone. Just how the word 'literally' was literally misused so much that its meaning was officially changed to include the formerly incorrect definition, so the word selfie has a history of misuse so that it can now also refer to a photo taken with a camera. The person who took the photo can call it a selfie because they themselves took the photo.
