Using Scripture to push a false agenda and/or false narrative. Typically seen when a church or pastor is going through a scandal. They blame the devil, persecution, or conspiracy. This also happens during a church slump.

Pastor Juanita Bynum routinely uses 'Scripture Rigging' when faced with controversy.
