Der Quatscher ist der schlimmste Plauderer, den man überhaupt irgendwo finden kann, d. h. ein solcher Mensch, der die Effizienz der Übermittlung eines irgendwelchen Inhalts durch die wenigste Anzahl von Wörtern am niedrigsten hat. Tatsächlich ist a Priori nicht klar ob ein Quatscher eindeutig durch diese informelle Definition bestimmt ist oder nicht. Wir gehen implizit davon aus, dass es mehrere Quatscher geben kann und identifizieren sie als eine echte Untermenge der Plauderer.
