Get the Mac OS X mug.greatest user system ever. Much better than vista. Vista never runs right at al on PCs and vista users had to have the mock XP setting just to make it run better. Macs even run vista better than PCs. Most of the the business world uses Macs or has plans to switch to them. More people are starting to use macs for there ease of use and the relatively few problems. Many games are released for PC instead of Macs ( a terrible conspiracy by Windows companies) but Macs ability to have both OS X and Vista or XP on it defeats that. Macs are amazing computers and derserve more understanding than they get.

An extraordinarily slow operating system that is very secure. The closest Windows comes to it in terms of not crashing is Windows 2000 Pro. But basically all Windows operating systems since 3.1 are better than anything Mac has made.
Pick your poison, an os that never crashes but never lets you get anything done or an os that you can use that may crash every once in awhile.

Get the Mac OS X mug.Apple's OS that is much better than OS 9. Contrary to popular belief, OS X is NOT based on FreeBSD. It only borrows a couple components. It is based off Darwin OS, another Operating System by Apple. Darwin IS a flavor of UNIX, therefore Mac OS X is based on UNIX, just not based off of FreeBSD UNIX.
It can run simple Windows programs using WINE + Darwine.
Again, contrary to popular belief, OS X is perfect for games.
It can run games like GTA: SA for Windows under Cider without any lag.
Many games have already been ported to OS X - like Call of Duty 4.
Runs both games on a 2010 11" Macbook Air.
Runs slightly worse on a PC/Hackintosh, since most PCs don't have support for Quartz Extreme, a necessary graphics component for watching videos with Quicktime, 3D Animations, Games, etc.
