It can't cure cancer

A statement made by dumb people regarding scientific and medical research or progress. Due to the individuals lack of understanding, they assume that diverting resources to scientific pursuits is pointless unless its about solving a problem like curing a disease.

Who cares about funding NASA's next space project, it can't cure cancer or anything important.

The cure are a band that has inspired each new generation of goth.
The makers of quite possibly the greatest album ever concieved
with Disintegration.
They didn't create Goth but frontman Robert Smith popularised it and is the best example of goth in the 80's. Roberts haircut can be seen in many places with the best known Edward scissorhands.
30 years on and still going strong.

"Its easier for me to get closer to heaven than ever feel whole again." The cure's Disintegration. GENIUS!

"It doesnt matter if we all die" One Hundred Years from Pornography. Sadly true.
