hug-bait

The process of opening your arms a little bit when you see someone or saying good-byes to bait them into giving you a hug. Usually this is done with the elbows out but hands not all the way spread, so that the hug-baiter is not embarrassed about a rejection.

Big John was hug-baiting me. He just wants to press his body against me.

Chef Ramsey is a perfect hug-baiter. He hugs everyone so he can feel up the hot ones without anyone wondering.

A Glasgow Hug is specific to the city of Glasgow in Scotland, but instead of an actual Hug, it is a stabbing with a knife or a shiv.

This type of Hug has been very common to the city of Glasgow for many years.
