When, after a night of drinking or about to leave a friends house or party, you pat down your pockets for your three most important items.

1.Wallet
2. Cellphone
3. Keys

After a night of heavy drinking, Chris performed the three pat pocket check to make sure he had his wallet,cellphone and keys.

Jack: Hey man lets go.

Idiom: a pat on the back resulting from an almost hug, usually in the nature of a female distancing herself from a male, derived from the traditional hug turned "there there" pat received from one's grandmother, which is less insulting to the reciever in this contect.

Four Pat

The Four Pat consists of four short pats with the back of the hand in quick succession. Usually dealt from female to male, and under a table. The Four Pat is used in accordance with subliminal mind messages and has been found to have many four syllable connotations.

The most popular are:

“Come On Let’s Go.”, “Don’t Say That Dick.” And “I’m Mad With You.”

Ignoring these two forms of Four Pat usually results in a “No Sex For You.” Four Pat.

Joanie gave Chachi a "Come On Lets Go" Four Pat at the pub. Chachi didn’t listen, had another drink, and got the "No Sex For You" Four Pat shortly afterwards.
