Any goth who went goth because they wanted to be different, then started listening to screamo bands and shit to attempt this. Opposed to a real goth, who went goth because they like the style and music. Must be educated.

goth kids arent rebels that want to piss off their parents by weaaring black, and loads of make up a lot of goths don't dress like that at all.
a goth is a person that believes in individuality they dress in the clothes that they like the look of and listen to the music that makes them happy (usually goth or black metal).they are usually smart and creative and they aren't bothered about what people think of them.
goths don't worship the devil or sacrafice goats that is a saitanist, yeah goths seem dark but that is because they keep themselves to themselves.

You know those weird gothic kids who hang out at places like Waffle House, IHOP, and Denny's in the wee hours of the morning? That's exactly what I'm talking about. See, a friend and I recently discovered exactly WHY goths are so attracted to these places.
"WAFFLES. THEY'RE SO FUCKING SPOOKY. Why didn't I see it before?! I mean, have you ever looked at one of those mofos? Pure. Anguish. Their brief lives are pain. They've been simmered in a hot pan or iron quite possibly burnt, only to be consumed by the consumer MACHINE, yo."
Waffles are therefore obviously a symbol of gothic culture.

Frat guy 1: "Hey man, last night was awesome! I need to get some coffee before I try to go to class. Maybe some breakfast, too. Denny's is still open, right?"
Frat guy 2: "Nah, man, that place is full of waffle goths, let's go to Bob Evans."

'Corporate Goth' sometimes known as City Goth, is a subgenre of gothic fashion. Although first adopted as a response to dress codes in corporate settings, such as offices, the 'Corporate Goth' look is often worn in non-working situations by those with mature, smart and gothic taste.
‘Corporate Goth’ often includes a pant suit in black or dark grey, an ornate, silk, lacy, frilled or otherwise dressy blouse/shirt and simple gothic jewellery. Dark eye makeup is usually worn, though the makeup is less overdone then other gothic looks. Lips can be left nude or an autumn shade of lipstick (dark red, plum ect) can be worn. Black lipstick is not often seen.
Acceptable colours include black, shades of grey or brown, jewel tones and white or cream.

John commented that his friends' black pantsuit, dark red blouse and black jewelry made her look rather 'corporate goth'.

A person who loves things such as black make up and black clothing, but has hidden it for a long time. Once they come out of their shell and become a normal goth, they are looked upon and are known as posers instead of themselves. They can be any type of goth too.
They are normally very understanding, but many people are thrown off by their change or actual look so they never get close enough to be their friend and they normally are mean to them instead of trying to talk to them.

Normal Person- S/he changed into a goth what a poser!
Someone who understands- She isn't a poser she is a soft goth.

People who still enjoy Electronic Music, but think most ravers are the equivalency of that Scum that forms on the surface of the Detroit River or at the bottom of Niagara Falls. They tend to incorporate the Fashion trends of the Candy Kid movement Blended with Victorian and Rivet-Head Styles Making what would appear in the surface as a "Happy Goth" Steam-Punk/Goth also falls into this Category. so there really are Two Sides less Further expansions (i.e. Everyone in Japan) those are Futurist Dystopia, and Post-Apocalyptic.
Think Bright colours on Goths that aren't afraid to Dance and have fun. Hyper Digital Ideas. Hard Electronic.
They have Musical Genres that Exist only because of them these are Goa, Synth-Pop, Future-Pop, Hard-Step, (most)EBM, IDM, and some Hard trance.
Behold Marilyn Manson is no longer God! the gods of the future will be only 1s and 0s.
Cyber Writers - Heinlen, William Gibson, Etc.
Cyber Movies - City of Lost Children, Minority Report, Johnny Mnemonic, Blade Runner, etc.
Cyber Bands - Neuroticfish, Rottersand, Icon of Coil, Assemblage 23, VNV Nation, Funker Vogt, Grendal, etc.
Cyber Designers - Cyber Dog, Cryoflesh, Nerve Damage, Skaillez, Goblinz, etc.
The Pretentious Attitude is a Throwback from Both the rave culture and the goth cultures, where both scenes were very elitist. No one talked to anyone unless they had an in, into your group, or you could dance. though unless you remeber the goth and Rave scenes from when they were both truly alive you wouldn't know what I mean, and you would also most likely be a Youngling in whatever scene you are in so... The point is... this is a scene of people that Migrated from other cultures to find a home in something that made sense to them. and are a bit closed off from the rest of the world for lack of acceptance.
This in a Very Small nutshell, is Cyber Goth, It really is all about the Music though
