Used to be full of retired/current military personnel and old folks.

Get the Victor mug.Part of the VIN number used by Ford to designate the heavy - duty police package installed onto Crown Victoria's from 1985-2008. These cars can top out at around 140+ MPH and can out - accelerate most stock high performers like the Mustang and the Camaro. Can impact 6" curbs at 60 MPH and receive no to little damage due to the large sidewalls on the tires and the heavy duty suspension. This car is also so heavy if that it were to impact another vehicle at highway speeds; the other vehicle would become "non recognizable". Horrible side impact ratings. Horrible rear impact ratings, (explodes like the Pinto does). Can go on harsh terrain at high speed and not get stuck or damaged like other cars; i.e.: (mud, gravel, 10-15% grade hills, ditches, curbs, speed bumps, rough roads, train tracks). Indeed the Crown Victoria is deceiving in appearance, it could probably stomp you're car or truck into the ground.

Get the Ford Crown Victoria - P71 mug.A boom and bust town off the 15 freeway in north San Bernardino county, California. The city was built as a trade route along route 66 and then again during WW2 with the air base. Since the late 1980's Victorville has experienced 3 distinct booms and busts.
Cycle 1: 1987-1996
In the late 1980's inco homes and other builders broke ground around the newly built mall of victorvalley. The residents at this time were old timers who lived there from the 30's to 70's and the newcomers who moved from down the hill or other southern CA counties.
Cycle 2: 2003-2008
The end of the 1990's or between 2002-2007 brought a new wave of home builders and expansion to the city and greatly increased its size. Unfortunately the people who bought homes relied on low gas prizes, easy credit and no doc. mortgages to buy homes. This new wave came from Los Angeles and many other troubled cities in Southern CA to the High Desert.
Cycle 3: 2009-2011
The current cycle from 2008-2011 consists of the remaining population who found some way to survive in the High Desert who did not lose their home and has some type of good job in the area and also investors and new wealth from outside the area that can afford to live in the high desert and take advantage of the property bargains.
