An e x t r e m e l y interesting species of ants. They cut leaves off of trees, then carry it back to their colony. After that, they get the fungal spores off the leaves and plant the spores in their cute little farms under ground. The fungus then grows and that’s the food that the ants eat (not the leaves). To protect the fungus from getting a disease and dying, they use the antibiotics surrounding their body to coat the fungi. Sometimes these ants can get confused and cut paper instead, as was studied in a lab by some entomologists. Favourite animal of all time. Have a nice day! 😀

Amazing creatures belonging to the Hymenoptera order, and live in colonies (groups of ants and a queen (maybe multiple queens, if the species is polygenic) stretching to over a million individuals) which provide a safe environment to the egg layer, aka the queen. ( who is not to be considered a leader) a particular species, namely the black crazy ant, or paratrechina longicornis, can perpetuate itself, because male ‘drones’ can mate with female alates and not be genetically related.
Jack: hey! I just watched ants Canada’s new video on his solenopsis geminata colony, it’s awesome!
Vasily: I love ants! I myself have a messor structor colony!
