2) a totally generic insult born out of homophobia but now generally used with no thought to it's actual meaning, by non-homophobes and occasionally gay people.

1) Person #1: 'I have to tell you something... I'm gay.'

2) Person #1: 'That's so gay.'
Person #2: 'You ARE gay.'
Person #1: 'Shit, so I am.'
