The storm that is whipped up by certain media in order to create increased visits to their websites.

Often increased via social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook via Twitterstorm

"The Daily Mail sure whipped up the trolling rage today with that article, didn't they?"

An act of being a bum on the Internet. Its usually when someone tricks people or a person into doing something, usually followed by a trollface.

Josh: Bruh, I just noscoped a bum.

Sean: Hang on, Im trolling somebody with a fake $500,000 sweepstakes. Just waiting fo a trollface to pop up on the noob's screen!

Reasonable scrolling distance

The distance (usually measured in swipes) that a lazy American will scroll down a webpage or social media feed before giving up.
Often used with the preceding word "beyond" or in the acronym RSD

Bob: did you see my tweet?
Joe: naw man, it must've been beyond reasonable scrolling distance

stroking the gerbil

A phrase for describing the use of an iphone or iPod touch, due to how it appears when using a touchscreen.

Taken from Marcus Brigstocke's stand up, God Collar.

'That git, always stroking his gerbil'
'I'm off to stroke my gerbil'
'Will they even stop stroking their gerbils and talk to people!?'
Stroking the gerbil should not be used as stroking the gerbil, but like the examples above.
