A situation where one is surrounded by lots of geeks, such as in a science lab. Can also be used to describe a situation where a person is acting in an above averagely geeky manner.
I was at this party with lots of computer scientists and accountants, it was complete geekarama.

Geek

A person who knows almost everything about subjects that interest them (such as video games, anime, movies, etc.), but are socially indistinguishable from everyone else.

Commonly confused with dork and nerd, but is very different.
"I just found out my boyfriend can name all the different Pokemon and what their moves are! He's such a geek!"

geekerd

A geekerd is a geek who also contains aspects of the nerd culture. While a geek mainly uses computers for social interactions and are technically advanced compared to your average user. A nerd has no social skills and is obsessed with science and technology.

To make a geekerd, you must possess qualities of each stereotype, such as an obsession with science and technology, but also a gamer or some other part of the geek subcultures.

A geekerd is generally lower than your normal geek, but better than your average nerd. Nerds are the lowest of the computing stereotypes.
Guy: OMG I spent my entire weekend playing WoW and looking through my telescope

Guy 2: You're a fucking geekerd, get away from the telescope and get on IRC more.

Geek/Nerd/Boffin

Geek:
A geek is someone who is unusually enthusiastic about a specific topic, sometimes an unusual topic, such as computing, science, maths or painting tiny models from Lord of the Rings.
Boffin:
A term used almost exclusively in the UK to affectionately refer to an expert or egghead. This term originated from the 'back room boys' in the second world war who were, amongst other things, operating radar and trying to break the german enigma code.
Nerd:
Someone who has difficulty negotiating social situations. The term has strong negative connotations and is mostly used as an insult. Nerd is often used interchangably with geek and it is true that many people are both but they mean different things.

Geek:
"OMG OMG IT'S A TINY PAINTED IAN MCKELLEN!"

Boffin:
Spitfire pilot 1-"Biggles have you heard the news?"
Spitfire pilot 2-"No, what is it jeffrey?"
Spitfire pilot 1-"The boffins have cracked the enigma code!"
Spitfire pilot 2-"Excellent; lets get up there and give those germans a taste of our good old British spunk, bristol fashon, six of the best trousers down!"

Nerd:

Normal person-"Well this is a fine state of affairs!"
Nerd-"Is it... I though it was a disaster?"
Normal person-"OMG I was being sarcastic. You are such a nerd!"
