first of all, i dont know why this isnt a google definition; and this word shouldnt be marginalized into certain subjects like i see people defining this word.

Filler: A thing that is added as extra content just to be quantity over quality; unnecessary content.

(this fits almost every category of thing)

Person 1: Wanna play Insert game?
Person 2: Honestly, I don't like it that much cuz I did a playthrough and a lot of it was just pointless filler.
