cheerleader

A cheerleader is a person who has decided to take up cheerleading. Being a cheerleader doesn't make a person any less smart, talented or anything. Not all of them are vapid, slutty, preppy, stupid, shallow, spoiled or snobby. Do you know cheerleaders that are? Then it's just THEM, not necessarily every other one!

I myself am not a cheerleader and I am not close friends with any. But they are still people, pigeonholed people who still do what they do despite all the people who ridicule and look down on them. Ironically, those people, the cheerleader haters, are being snobby. Isn't that a bitch?

An activity and the participants in said activity who are extensions of The Establishment, and, ultimately, The Man. Indeed, cheerleading could be seen as social conditioning, a preparation for a life's service to The Establishment through the systematic brainwashing of said cheerleaders and suppression of any semblance of free thought or assembly in a high school/college environment. Indeed, cheerleading and cheerleaders could be seen as analagous to The Establishment, and cheerleader captains could be seen as analagous to The Man, with both entities feeding their unjustified and undeserved power.

Cheerleaders dress identically and chant sentences which praise "The Establishment."

A motion of shaking one's fingers above one's head when a verbal exclamation would not be appropriate. Similar to spirit fingers and jazz hands.

General Assemblies at Latin Convention are known to be unbearably long, so, as to ameliorate the time situation, the silent cheer is implemented.

Those who practice the silent cheer are far nerdier than most.

Some cheeleaders may be ditzy, dumb, or all about looks; however, these cheerleaders are probably out of some small high school that has a cheerleading team that sucks. Real cheerleaders are on all star teams outside of school strictly for competing. All star cheerleaders travel a lot. I attend a minimum of three cheer competitions out of my state every season. Oh wait cheerleading season does not end for all-stars. I am attending the cheerleading worlds in florida in April which will include the best of the best teams from across the world. Thats right ACROSS THE WORLD! Let me see you do half the skill cheerleaders earn by practicing and hard work. Skill and technique is needed. If you think you can handle it, then show me...join. What level 5 teams do is pretty amazing to ALL spectators.

Cheerleaders are the Shit.

This is commonly confused with a slut or a whore.

I'm going to clarify.

CHEERLEADERS. ARE. ATHELETES. We work hard and don't just run around wearing bootyshorts and being hyper. We work hard. We're not what the stereotype says. Get. It. Straight.

Most cheerleaders are also extremely flexible, so they can do scorpions/aerobesques/heel stretches/toetouches/pikes/herkies. They also should be strong for stunting.

Woah, the cheerleaders just ran five miles at practice!
