Downing-Kruger Effect

The Downing-Kruger effect is like the Dunning-Kruger effect, but specifically exhibited by people with Down Syndrome. It may be more apparent than usual due to the “stubborn” personality type commonly associated with DS.

My roommate kept nagging me a lot by saying I needed to take NyQuil, even though I actually had pinkeye and it wouldn’t have helped any. I know he thinks he’s caring for me, but he really doesn’t understand what he’s talking about. It’s not his fault though; he has Down Syndrome, so this is just the Downing-Kruger effect in action.

The Geometry Dash Effect

A phenomenon where a video game and it's community get no updates for so long that when it finally does get an update the community will lose all brain cells and create things in which most regular people could never comprehend.

Person 1: "The fuck is going on with those people, the game just updated!"

Person 2: "That's just the geometry dash effect doing it's thing."

When you've been trying and trying to complete a minor task, but failing every time and once you come close to finishing it or you actually finished it, you start retrying it again out of habit.

Person A gets close to finishing, but fails
Person A: NOOO, I WAS SO CLOSE!!
Person B: The Sisyphus Effect has taken another victim, honest skill issue.
Person A: fuck you
