Chore paralysis

An overwhelming feeling which prevents you from getting your chores done because there are too many of them. You don't know where to begin and what to get out of the way first. You stare at your 'to do' list unable to decide which burdensome task you should do first.

Similar to choice paralysis only the problem here isn't what flavour ice cream you want to wolf down but a number of boring tasks that have to get done so you can go back to enjoying life.

I wanted to go for a long walk to clear my head but instead found myself looking at my very long list of chores, unable to move a muscle. I was clearly suffering from a serious case of chore paralysis.

climate-paralyzed

If you're climate paralyzed, you're not able to act on the climate crisis. So pretty much everyone is climate-paralyzed. Ironically the climate itself is paralyzing us, since we rather think of if we have to wear a coat tomorrow than what we can do to stop climate change. And of course we also are all overwhelmed by the complexity of this issue, that it basically paralyzes us.

49th parallel

Can either mean a part of the Canada-USA border (as it follows the 49th parallel north for a part of the border) or the 49th parallel north or south (circles of latitude).

1: I live in Seattle, near the 49th parallel. I travel to Vancouver every Saturday evening.
2: There are so many circles of latitude, but the 49th parallel north/south just stands out to me. It's my favorite.
