Reality Drift

The subtle feeling that the world around you is slightly fake, off, or slipping out of sync. A cultural vertigo caused by algorithms, endless feeds, and manufactured experiences that blur the line between what’s authentic and what’s engineered.
Scrolling through TikTok at 2 a.m. and realizing every trend feels staged gave me major reality drift.

Reality/game show moron

Someone who's been on mindless reality TV long enough they try and turn other people into mindless people. Someone who starts to think everything in life is a test, a game, or an obstacle to overcome, since that is what they do on TV.
The reality/game show moron thought if someone brought up the subject of sex, instead of death, taxes, or sports, that the person was testing people. So to some people it's okay to talk about death, even gruesome deaths, car accidents, fires, but people should feel weird about talking about sex, or they should feel like they're on a stupid fuckin reality show where you have to laugh at everything everybody says otherwise you feel like an awkward moron.

Reality

Here comes another day…

When reality…

Comes crashing by…

To say ….

You are not his beautiful lady…

No matter how much…

You pray to the sky…

Or create answers to the whys…

You can find connections

Where the numbers land…

Or the words developed by another’s hand…

But it was never is affection…
Towards you…

As it simply was never meant….

4u
4u…
This time…
Meaning

Me…

It was never me…
That is reality…
Reality sucks

Reality Maintaining Words

The set of words which (established and) maintain reality.
"Could we change reality by suppressing, hiding, or extricating the Reality Maintaining Words?", asked Professor Spot Tricks. "How many RMWs are there anyway?" Asked Joe. "How many RMWs do you estimate there are", asked Dick. "How many RMWs do you estimate exist", asked Bernd. The instructor commended Bernd because "exist" is concise, whereas "there are" is prolix, and clarified that listing all the RMWs would exact mountains of time, so it is more likely that only an estimate, not a specific number, could be achieved. Then she asked the students, "And could we change reality by promoting the use of a different set of words?" "Yes", said most students. "What would you call those words?" "Reality Correcting Words", said Sally.

photoshopping reality

When the press, public relations firms, government officials and political campaigns distort reality, twist the facts, apply filters like those used in PhotoShop to changes images, that is photoshopping reality. Closely associated with spin, perception management, marketing and propaganda.
When Secretary of State Colin Powell showed photographs to the UN proving the existence of chemical warfare plants, he was photoshopping reality. Also, President George W. Bush's infamous comment to FEMA chief Michael D. Brown while the latter was botching the federal response to Hurricane Katrina: "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."
