A term coined in the flop movie "Robocop 3" used at the near end to describe someone in power turning to the use of excessive means to put down a population's unrest with the use of a war machine, in a civil society, regardless of casualties, usually as a result of an "us vs. them" sentiment.
In the instance of the said film, the main antagonist sought to launch an all-out, military style strike with his armed forces against less fortunate civilians protesting their forced displacement.

Get the Console Warsmug. An MMORPG like war craft but without the stupid 15$ a month fee. Often hated by WoW fans because they can't understand the concept of being able to log out or not having to pay for a mediorce game. A normal persons MMO game

Get the Guild Warsmug. As opposed to a war of attrition, wherein two or more parties wear each other down over a period of time, a war of contrition is a situation where two or more parties won't stop apologising to each other.
Usually this happens because everyone is eager to avoid confrontation but if often leads to further disagreement.
