Fake Followed

An occurrence, primarily on twitter, where an individual is followed by a fake or untraceable identity. Most of these fake followers do not have a bio, have no listed tweets, and do not have a profile picture larger than a thumbnail size photograph.
I got fake followed today by Hyacinth Tortorella.

Dude, half of my followers are fake.

If you just got followed by somebody with a European sounding name and you don't know them, you probably just got fake followed, my friend.

Fake metal

A label commonly given by elitists to bands that define themselves as a metal subgenre they believe is the catalyst of the downfall of heavy metal.
Elitists, or bullies who diss a band they don't like by using the term, can label metalcore (ex: Attack Attack!, Bring Me the Horizon), glam metal (Kiss, Mötley Crüe), nu metal (Korn, the early works of Deftones), alternative metal (the current works of Deftones, Egypt Central), and some hard rock bands—even though they tend to get mislabeled as that—as fake metal.
It's gotten to a point where people have even tried to say that the only true genre is the one that came from psychedelic, acid, and blues rock, common example for that being Black Sabbath, who also paved the way for doom metal by merging metal with classical and more blues (props to them), and that all these subgenres (thrash for example) are just profit-driven fucks. I think.

Regardless, it's a commonly used term, and there may be a holy war ongoing.

I'm trying to be as neutral as I can for defining this label, so I do apologize if any bias appears.
Elitist: Nu metal is not real metal, you've been brainwashed by the fucking fake metal! Go listen to Carcass, Death, or even Nile!
"Fake" Metalhead: All that stuff is way too amazingly talented for me. I think I'm gonna go listen to Slipknot now.
Me: Who the hell are these people?!
My friend: Welcome to today's society…also known as the fifth circle of Hell.
Me: I'm just gonna…walk away…and listen to whatever the hell I have in my library…

So I did. And the elitist and the metalhead continued arguing. Christ.

Fake Math

A term used by those who know beforehand that they don’t stand a chance to pass their math test or exam unless they resort to lying, cheating, or bribery—they often blame the teacher for bias against them, practicing unfair grading, or setting unrealistic or artificial questions that are confusing and open to different interpretations.
Guesstimate how many Trumpublican students in red states every year would scapegoat fake math for their failure to get a passing grade in their middle- or high-school math paper rather than putting in the time and effort to master the math concepts.

real-fake

A real-fake is anything that is fundamentally fake, but is still treated legitimately real in certain contexts. Real-fakes are different from knock-offs, which approximate the real thing, but never claim to actually be the real thing.
These bootleg Wayfarers aren't knockoffs, they're real-fakes because they have the Ray-Ban logo on them and they are cosmetically similar to genuine Ray-Bans, so that the glasses appear real.

My girlfriend and I got real-fake married to qualify for better financial aid. In principle and on paper, our marriage is real, but in practice we're still just dating.

In college, I lived with 14 of my friends in a single house. We jokingly decided to make it a real-fake fraternity and hang letters over the balcony, but the experience was almost like living in a real one.
