Apple Grease

Something that's all just dumb and bad

Person 1: I'm really sorry, my mom just died and it's hitting me a lot harder than I expected... She and I kind of had a falling out when she remarried and allowed her new spouse to mistreat me and my sibling for so long, but now all I can think of is the fact that now we'll never have a chance to fix things. What if her dying thoughts were of her broken relationship with me? I had so many chances to reach out, and I almost did so many times, but it just never happened... I still stand by my anger at her, but part of me wonders if we couldve worked to resolve things. Part of me wonders if it's my fault we hadn't spoken in maybe a few years when she died, and not more than a few brief, blunt, cold words in maybe twelve years.
