This period usually occurs at a few hours after dawn, and lasts for only a short period of time. During the demilitarized zone, one can get out of bed and walk around without feeling the affects of alcohol, like vomiting and extreme headaches.
Yo man, I woke up this morning at 7am, and I felt awesome. I must have just caught the demilitarized zone. 30 minutes later I couldn't stand up without having to vomit.
