The term latinos and hispanics use to describe unintelligent and silly televisions programs that waste your time and contribute nothing to society. Programs falling under this category could range from telenovelas (soap operas), to entertainment talk shows, to reality t.v.

Mother: son stop watching that telebasura. It isn't teaching you anything, and you are wasting your time.

Son: Mom, come on! Part three of "Amores Traidores" (Traitorous love) is on and Juanita is about to get revenge on Raul for cheating on her with Julia. Just a little bit more!

Mom: I don't care how many girls Raul has cheated with. They aren't going to wash the dishes for me!
