Rei Hino's alter ego from the anime and manga Sailor Moon. One of the Sailor senshi, Naoko Takeuchi created her to standout from the rest of the characters to be especially "Asian." Naoko said that she wanted Rei to be very beautiful and feminine.

In the anime, Rei and the main character Usagi always fight. But in the original manga, Rei has always watched over her. As Sailor Mars, her element is fire.

"Mars prism power! Make-up!!!"

Neocortex Smile

When the brain tells the mouth to arrange itself in smile position but forgets to tell the rest of the face (eyes, temples etc.) to do the same. Sometimes revealing the lower teeth, it is often menacing and always insincere.

When her ex-boyfriend unexpectedly showed up at the party, she put on a brave, neocortex smile but her eyes revealed her inner distress.

"Have a nice day" the receptionist said for the 30th time that day through her plastic, neocortex smile.

A follower of L. Ron Hubbard and the "Church" of Scientology.

The term is a play on "Cylons," the robotic invaders in Battlestar Galactica. It is particularly appropriate because Hubbard was a science fiction writer, and the top-seekrit "OT levels" are based on the belief that we are infected with "body thetans," the confused, immortal souls of space aliens who became disoriented 75,000,000 years ago when the evil space warlord Xenu brought them to Earth (or Teegeeack, as it was known then), dropped them into volcanoes and blew them up with nuclear weapons.
