A slasher fan who hates remakes and reboots. None of them are good except maybe one in their eyes. Slasher purists will either reject the notion that anything made after 2010 is even remotely okay, or just not like remakes or reboots. Series and TV shows made about slashers will also get severe distain from them.

My boyfriend is a slasher purist. He won't even dignify the idea of watching Halloween 2!

EU purist

A Star Wars fan who, despite all evidence on the contrary - as well as official statements made both by Star Wars creator George Lucas and Lucasfilm - insist on the idea that the Star Wars Expanded Universe, today known as "Legends"

was part of Lucas' vision on the Star Wars universe. Usually an EU purist dedicates entire YouTube channels or websites to "expose" the supposed conspiracy to discredit the Expanded Universe, which most likely will feature cherry-picked and edited quotes from authors to the Expanded Universe or from Lucas himself as "evidence."
