Sit-Spooning 

The act of sitting on the ground, bench or other surface with two or more people facing the the same direction, with full body contact. A variation of the typical spooning, where the same general idea is used in a 'sitting' situation.

Alex, Kane and Taylor were sit-spooning in their family photo, taken when Alex was the oldest.

Where one person lays front to back with another person. Fitting together like spoons.

Friend spooning is where two friends who are not sexually intimate cuddle in bed while hanging out or napping.

clay spooning 

When a person (usually a male) comes up behind another person (usually a female) while he/she is creating a clay pot on a pottery wheel and proceeds to sit behind the person making the pottery and place their hands on the person's creating the pottery, guiding them while indirectly spooning while sitting.

The act of spooning someone while asleep. Usually the person has no idea of the act that they are committing and if not stopped may take it to another level.

Person 2: yea i heard he was sleep spooning Jordan
Person 1: yea they had to be separated otherwise it would have turned into a one sides but fucking bonanza

A form of cuddling in which the man embraces the woman from the back and fit together like spoons. Hence the word "spooning."

When you drive down the highway and see two cops pulled long side one another facing in opposite directions and they are doing nothing.

I was driving down the road the other day and flew past 2 cops cruiser spooning and neither one of them bothered to move to come after me.
