sniping

taking pictures of your friends when they do not realize it, usually resulting in an embarrassing picture

the only way to avoid a snipe is to put up two fingers to indicate you are aware of the snipe, or to smile and make it a nice picture- because if it's a good picture, it's not a good snipe

other forms of this game include dropping. dropping is when you plant an object on a friend without their knowledge, usually resulting in a ridiculous appearance.

the best combination is a drop snipe because then you have a ridiculously embarrassing picture of your friend to tag on facebook
Erica: Snipe!
David: Shit I'm definitely untagging that one

David: I'm going sniping
Erica: I'll be ready with my peace sign
