Pronounced "sha-poop-ill-ating"

The art of saying you are going to leave a venue, but in fact you stay behind and talk for a given amount of time before really leaving. Often parents and women are the main culprits of shapoupilation. Especially women parents.

Variants: Shapoupilation, Shapoupilate, Shapoupilator.

Mother: "Okay kids, let's go."
Kids: "Are we really going, or are you just going to be shapoupilating for the next half an hour?"
