Conjunction for "player owned".

All these "nubs"(newbies) don't know what "pwnd" means and came from so let me tell you... It started on the server Circular Lovin based out in Virginia, where notorious CAL/CPL Players(ksharp, s2k, deadly riot, meepins, 3D, zEx) would play because of the LAN Latency(dual oc-12, you'd get an avg. 9-15) back in CS beta5-1.4 anyways... it came from owned and it's a more extreme kind of owned, actually started as "power owned." I would know this because my friend and I started it back in CS Beta 5.

Internet lingo for being beaten down, esp. in a brutal, cold, and efficient manner and usually expressed in an omg context. An alternate possible "literal" translatation could be pawned, specifically used when the pwner uses a pwnee for the pwner's own benefit without the pwnee realizing/knowing it. This allows for an alternate "literal" translation for ownd.
In an fps, playing ctf:
Guy 1 pwner: takes guy 2's flag
Guy 2 pwnee: takes guy 1's flag
Guy 1: lures guy 2 into following him around a corner
Guy 1: gets headshot on guy 2
Guy 2: "dawn, iwas pwnd"
Guy 1 pwner: takes guy 2's flag
Guy 2 pwnee: takes guy 1's flag

Guy 2: "dawn, iwas pwnd"

A gamer/hacker term, usually used when playing a game/hacking; meaning "ownd" or "owned". The reason a "P" is used instead of an "O" is because the "P" represents a flag pole with a flag (flag pole with a flag represents owned, such as the american flag on the moon representing america landed there first).
