A friendly way of "annoying" someone and reminding them that they have you as a friend on Facebook. Does NOT always mean you're flirting. Can also be something you do in order to keep yourself busy when you're bored.,

A Facebook Poke has been known to lead to a "Poke War" in which two people continue to poke eachother until one stops. The person who stopped poking back lost, thus making the other the winner of the "war"
